The Road to Blockage: Understanding the Impact of Hyperlipidemia

Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S and the prevalence of hyperlipidemia is a financial health care burden for ASCVD. Reduction of risk factors and controlling hyperlipidemia will result in avoidable cardiovascular events but providers need to fully understand the impact this has on both the physical and financial health of our patients. This session is intended to help clinicians understand the pathophysiology of disease and identify risk reduction modalities to help our patients achieve success in controlling this silent killer.
