This lecture is designed to give new nurse practitioners the foundational knowledge needed to confidently step into a busy dermatology practice. Dr. Victor Czerkasij, DNP will demystify the core skills, essential conditions, and fundamental procedures that form the bedrock of daily practice. The session will cover the most common skin conditions encountered in clinical settings, including acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, and warts. We'll also provide a roadmap for developing key procedural skills, such as skin biopsies (shave and punch), cryosurgery, and simple excisions. Learn step by step how to approach a patient with a skin complaint, from conducting a thorough skin exam to creating an effective and safe treatment plan. Students will also receive recommendations for essential textbooks and online resources to build a strong knowledge base.
