Czerkasij holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, Tennessee) and a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Southern Adventist University (Collegedale, Tennessee). He is the recipient of the Excellence in Writing award from Vanderbilt University for his research paper The Effects of Moderate to Severe Psoriasis on Human Sexuality. Czerkasij is a certified family nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC).
