New Diagnosis of HIV

R.C. is a 57-year-old Italian male presenting as a new patient to establish care after a new HIV diagnosis found on routine screening during his annual physical with his PCP. He feels well and reports no symptoms or complaints, and he is not taking any routine medications. He is notably very anxious about the diagnosis and specialist visit, expressing fear that he will never have a relationship again.
