A 30-year-old male presents for follow-up of primary hypertension after being notified of a “critical lab,” seen by a coworker at his first visit to the practice. He has no chief complaint, feels well, and reports no recent infections or fevers. He has a strong family history of hypertension, a normal BMI, and is taking an ACE inhibitor/HCTZ with blood pressure at goal and previously normal renal function. On exam he appears well, with a normal physical examination and no lymphadenopathy or hepatosplenomegaly, and he asks, “I’m really healthy—should I be worried?
