S.C. is a 42-year-old White female new patient with rheumatoid arthritis (on adalimumab and methotrexate) presenting with chronic severe right hip pain for years, progressively worsening and significantly worse over the past 6 months. Pain is activity-related (walking/twisting), causing a limp, frequent need to rest, and difficulty with sit-to-stand; she often uses a grocery cart for support and cannot complete a standing-to-ground-to-standing tactical shooting test. She uses ibuprofen/acetaminophen and occasional steroids for flares and regularly attends PT/OT, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and massage.
