What types of continuing education does Fitzgerald offer for nurse practitioners?

Fitzgerald offers NP continuing education in four formats: on-demand online courses, live in-person CE conferences, monthly livestream classes, and CE podcasts. All courses are developed and taught by practicing NP experts and are designed to be immediately applicable to clinical practice.

How many CE courses are available through Fitzgerald?

Fitzgerald’s CE library includes 285+ on-demand courses covering clinical and pharmacology topics, with new courses added monthly. The library also includes 480+ pharmacology CE hours and 35+ curated learning paths organized by specialty and topic area.

What is included in the Fitzgerald CE Membership?

Fitzgerald offers two CE membership tiers. The Full Access Membership ($1,599/year) includes all in-person CE conferences, all livestream CE classes, 285+ on-demand courses, 480+ pharmacology hours, 35+ curated learning paths, and 30+ CE podcasts. The Online Access Membership ($1,299/year) includes all on-demand content, pharmacology hours, learning paths, and podcasts, without in-person and livestream conference access. Physical products and the Functional Medicine Certification are not included in either membership.

Does Fitzgerald offer CE packages for nurse practitioners who don’t want a full membership?

Yes. Fitzgerald offers curated CE packages that bundle related courses together at a savings of 25 to 30 percent compared to purchasing individual courses. Packages are organized by specialty and topic and are a good option for NPs with specific CE needs rather than broad ongoing access.

Does Fitzgerald offer CE to meet the DEA substance abuse training requirement?

Yes. Fitzgerald offers courses specifically designed for nurse practitioners to meet the Drug Enforcement Administration’s requirement under the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act. Courses are available in on-demand, livestream, and in-person formats.

Who creates and teaches Fitzgerald’s NP continuing education courses?

All Fitzgerald CE courses are designed and taught by practicing, board-certified nurse practitioners. Faculty are active clinicians in their specialty areas, not classroom-only educators. Dr. Margaret Fitzgerald, the founder, is a practicing NP at a federally qualified health center and is recognized nationally for expertise in pharmacology, clinical assessment, and infectious disease.

Can I earn CE credit on the go with Fitzgerald?

Yes. Fitzgerald offers CE podcasts as part of all membership tiers, allowing NPs to earn continuing education credit while commuting, exercising, or between patient appointments. The podcast library includes 30+ CE episodes covering clinical and pharmacology topics.

How long has Fitzgerald been providing continuing education for nurse practitioners?

Fitzgerald Health Education Associates has been educating and preparing nurse practitioners for 32 years. The organization has prepared more than 180,000 NPs through its certification review and continuing education programs.
